La Flor Dominicana La Nox

Cigar Review – La Flor Dominicana La Nox

I recently received a La Flor Dominicana La Nox from a follower who wanted to see what I had to say on this great cigar.

@LFDCigars have always been a favorite, as LFD is always inventive and innovative when it comes to flavor and intensity in their cigars.

Draped with a dark Brazilian wrapper, the Mexican San Andrés binder and Dominican fillers, this Toro Extra offers a dark and oily cover leaf, perfectly accented by the blue and white in the band. The wrapper and foot offer aromas of nuts, wood, pepper and cocoa. Somewhat reminiscent of a Cuban, there are floral, fruity, nutty notes present as well.

Upon lighting, there is a phenomenal amount of smoke, and an explosion of flavors that build on each other – a savory meatiness, accented with cocoa, nuts, sweetness, and fruitiness reminiscent of pears or apples. While the flavor is medium-full, the body and strength are closer to medium than full. Draw was great with plenty of smoke production. Burn line was crooked at times, but corrected quickly.

Overall, a great cigar, worthy of a box. Sophisticated and complex with a surprising range of flavors that work perfectly with this hefty cigar. I rate it a 92.
